Mexico: Study and research stays for students in Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral programmes

Applicants from public universities in the Czechia submit their scholarship applications in two consecutive steps:

1. Application submitted to the Czech institutions via this portal. The list of required documents below under "Application attachments" refers to the application submitted in this step.
2. Application submitted to the Mexican government portal SIGCA.

PLEASE NOTE: Applicants not enrolled in Czech public universities do not submit an application via the Studuj na VŠ portal.

The two-stage process works as follows: after the deadline for applications submitted via this portal (Studuj na VŠ), in the first stage (1), the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MŠMT) assesses the applications as part of a selection process and identifies the candidates it will propose (nominate) for the award of a scholarship. These successful candidates are then invited, in the second stage (2), to submit a scholarship application in accordance with the requirements of the Mexican side via the SIGCA portal. Applications submitted to the Mexican partner includes an extensive set of mandatory supporting documents, and the deadline for their submission is usually very short. We therefore strongly recommend that applicants carefully study the detailed information on the application requirements, which is published on the AMEXCID website. The supporting documents and instructions are available there as PDF files for download, including the latest programme brochure.

The final selection of candidates is then made by the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and successful applicants are contacted directly by the Mexican side; unsuccessful candidates are not contacted.
