Course description:

The Lifelong Learning Programme Patient Triage in the Emergency Department is conceived as an integrated theoretical and practical course. It provides participants with essential theoretical foundations and practical competencies in the field of patient triage within emergency departments. The programme focuses on the development and reinforcement of knowledge and skills related to the assessment and prioritisation of patients requiring urgent medical attention. Upon successful completion, the participant will be able to apply triage scales and assessment systems to evaluate a patient's condition, determine the urgency and appropriate course of action, and recommend suitable time frames for providing adequate and effective intervention both in the emergency department and in pre-hospital emergency care settings.
