Equine Diseases

The Lifelong Education Program - Clinical Education Level I in the field of Equine Diseases is governed by Act No. 166/1999 Coll., on Veterinary Care and on the Amendment of Certain Related Laws (Veterinary Act); Decree No. 331/2021 Coll., on the Organization of Education for Veterinarians Working in Clinical Veterinary Medicine; Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments and Supplements to Certain Other Laws (Higher Education Act), as amended; the Statute of the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno; the Rules for Lifelong Education of the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno; and the Rules for Ensuring the Quality of Educational, Creative, and Related Activities, as well as the Internal Quality Evaluation of Educational, Creative, and Related Activities at the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno.
The Lifelong Education Program - Clinical Education Level I in the field of Equine Diseases is organized as optional education for veterinarians working in clinical veterinary medicine. It is designed to deepen the knowledge of veterinarians in the field of clinical veterinary medicine. The instruction is delivered by experts from the university implementing an accredited master's degree program in veterinary medicine or veterinary hygiene, the State Veterinary Administration, private veterinarians, and other specialists in the relevant field.
At the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno, the lifelong education program is overseen by the Internal Evaluation Council at the institutional level, the Lifelong Education Council at the program level, and the program guarantor at the level of the Clinical Education program.
The Lifelong Education Program - Clinical Education Level I in the field of Equine Diseases is followed by the Clinical Education Level II program in the same field, which represents a higher level of difficulty with advanced specialized knowledge, skills, and expertise.
The aim of Clinical Education Level I in the field of Equine Diseases is to build upon undergraduate education leading to the qualification of a veterinarian and to further enhance education following three years of professional experience in the field. The program focuses on deepening practical knowledge, experience, and skills, with a specialization in clinical veterinary issues related to equine diseases.
