The Continuing Education Program - Level I Clinical Training in Fish Diseases is governed by Act No. 166/1999 Coll., on Veterinary Care and Amendments to Some Related Laws (Veterinary Act), Regulation No. 331/2021 Coll., on the Organization of Education for Veterinarians in Clinical Veterinary Medicine, Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education and Amendments to Other Laws (Higher Education Act), as amended, the Statute of the University of Veterinary Medicine Brno, the Rules for Continuing Education at the University of Veterinary Medicine Brno, and the Rules for Ensuring the Quality of Educational, Creative, and Related Activities and Internal Evaluation of the Quality of Educational, Creative, and Related Activities at the University of Veterinary Medicine Brno.
The Continuing Education Program - Level I Clinical Training in Fish Diseases is organized as non-mandatory education for veterinarians working in clinical veterinary medicine, aimed at enhancing their knowledge in the field. The program is delivered by experts from a university offering an accredited master's program in veterinary medicine or veterinary hygiene, State Veterinary Administration, private veterinarians, and other specialists in the respective field. At the University of Veterinary Medicine Brno, the program is supervised by the Council for Internal Evaluation, at the level of the Continuing Education Programs by the Council for Continuing Education, and at the program level by the program guarantor for Continuing Education - Clinical Education.
The Level I Continuing Education Program in Fish Diseases is followed by a Level II Clinical Education Program for Fish Diseases, which represents a more advanced level of difficulty focusing on specialized knowledge, experience, and skills.
The goal of the Level I Clinical Education Program in Fish Diseases is, following undergraduate education and obtaining the qualification of a veterinary doctor, and in connection with 3 years of practice in the field, to deepen education in the area of practical knowledge, experience, and skills focused on clinical veterinary issues within the field of Fish Diseases.
