Poultry and Rabbit Diseases

The Lifelong Learning Program - Level I Clinical Training in Poultry and Rabbit Diseases is governed by Act No. 166/1999 Coll., on Veterinary Care and Amendments to Certain Related Acts (the Veterinary Act); Decree No. 331/2021 Coll., on the Organization of Education for Veterinarians in Clinical Veterinary Medicine; Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions and Amendments to Other Acts (the Higher Education Act), as amended; the Statute of the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno; the Lifelong Learning Regulations of the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno; and the Rules for Ensuring the Quality of Educational, Creative, and Related Activities and the Internal Evaluation of the Quality of Educational, Creative, and Related Activities of the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno.
The Lifelong Learning Program - Level I Clinical Training in Poultry and Rabbit Diseases is organized as an optional education program for veterinarians working in clinical veterinary medicine. It is intended to deepen the knowledge of veterinarians in clinical veterinary medicine. The instruction is provided by specialists from the university offering accredited master's degree programs in veterinary medicine or veterinary hygiene, the State Veterinary Administration, private veterinarians, and other experts in the relevant field. The program is supervised by the Internal Evaluation Board at the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno, the Lifelong Learning Board at the program level, and the program guarantor for Lifelong Learning - Clinical Training.
The Level I Clinical Training in Poultry and Rabbit Diseases is followed by the Level II Clinical Training in Poultry Diseases and Farmed Rabbit Diseases programs, representing a higher level of difficulty with specialized knowledge, experience, and skills.
The aim of the Level I Clinical Training in Poultry and Rabbit Diseases is to build upon the undergraduate education and the qualification as a veterinarian, as well as three years of professional experience in the field, to deepen education at the level of practical knowledge, experience, and skills, with a focus on clinical veterinary issues in Poultry and Rabbit Diseases.
