Charles University - Faculty of Arts
Graduates of the Bachelor’s degree in History at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University have a grounding in the political, social, economic and cultural development of European and Europeanised society in particular. They have acquired essential heuristic and historical-critical skills they can utilise in further study (follow-up Master’s degree in History or related disciplines) in the Czech Republic and abroad, and in their practice. Graduates have an extensive range of competences and a broad spectrum of methodological and special know-how. Single-subject study is thus a suitable initial stage for further History-oriented study but students also gain entry qualifications for practical work in museology and culture.
Looking for a university with a long tradition and a modern academic environment? Charles University offers more than 600 study programmes across 17 faculties in Prague, Pilsen and Hradec Králové. You can choose from medicine, natural and technical sciences, law, economics, social sciences, humanities, theology and sport. At Charles University, you can do more than simply gain knowledge. The university cooperates with hundreds of international institutions and offers many opportunities to gain experience abroad, including through the Erasmus+ programme. Whether you are interested in science, working with people, medicine, languages or law, Charles University offers a wide range of options to help you find a field that matches your interests and shape your own path.
