<p>The field of imaging methods deals with the diagnostic and therapeutic use of radiological methods and nuclear medicine methods. It works closely with all basic clinical fields and is also linked to some preclinical fields.</p> <p>The doctoral study program includes theoretical education, clinical work, and the completion of a specific research task. The theoretical part covers the entire breadth of the field and is supplemented by compulsory and optional specialized courses.<br>The clinical part is carried out at a radiology or nuclear medicine facility, depending on the topic of the dissertation. The scientific and research part consists of solving a specific task determined by the topic of the dissertation. The doctoral student continuously presents the results of the assigned topic in the form of professional articles in Czech and international journals, as well as in the form of oral presentations at scientific conferences and congresses. The doctoral student compiles the results of their topic in a dissertation.</p> <p>Significant emphasis is placed on the quality of the research conducted and interdisciplinary cooperation with other clinical and biomedical fields, not only within the Faculty of Medicine and University Hospital in Pilsen.</p>
