The Clinical Social Worker study programme gives you a practical bachelor's education in social work. It gives you the qualifications and professional competences to practise as a social worker.

You gain knowledge, skills and competences to: • carry out social prevention incl. screening, and social investigations with analysis, • plan psychosocial intervention, implement social measures and ensure a social agenda, • provide socio-legal counselling on disease or its consequences, • support client integration and involvement of their social environment, • participate in organising rehabilitation stays, • prepare patient discharge within your competence, incl. further care and services, • provide professional social counselling after a client/patient's death and, for lonely deceased patients, ensure death-related matters, • perform basic activities under Social Services Act (social therapeutic activities, telephone crisis assistance, skills training, help with exercising rights and interests, help with common self-care acts, etc.), • maintain medical and other documentation under other legal regulations, • provide patients with information within your competence or according to a doctor's instructions, • perform analytical, methodological and conceptual activities in health and social care, • participate in practical teaching of students in selected fields of study, etc.
