The study programme educates experts in Physics with a focus on computer methods used in science and technology. You will build on broad knowledge of mathematics, physics and computer methods acquired in previous follow-up Master’s study, and gain in-depth knowledge in a selected specialised area of science. You choose this narrower area with approval from your supervisor when creating your individual study plan in line with the theme of your dissertation thesis. The study also includes several weeks of internship at a selected foreign university or research institution. During your studies, you will learn to independently create complex models describing examined phenomena, seek and develop suitable methods of solution, manage your own creative activity, and present and publish your scientific results at an internationally recognised level.

Study

Graduates can pursue careers in academia and other institutions involved in science, research, development and innovation. They usually work as post-doctoral science staff at foreign universities, academic personnel at Czech universities and staff of the Czech Academy of Sciences. They can also find roles in industry, specialised laboratories and companies dealing with computationally demanding problems.
