The Applied Informatics bachelor's program prepares you who can combine a deep theoretical foundation in IT with real-world practice. The program focuses on developing competencies for the design, implementation, and operation of information systems with a clear understanding of their economic dimensions. The program emphasizes the practical application of knowledge through annual projects and develops key skills such as critical thinking, adaptability, and the ability to solve complex problems in a dynamic business environment.

Graduates of the program are prepared for a successful career in the IT sector thanks to a balanced combination of technical and soft skills: - Information Technology: They can analyze and implement solutions in the fields of databases and software engineering. They are proficient in web and mobile application development, UX/UI principles, cloud infrastructure management, and the deployment of BI, machine learning, and AI technologies. They ensure the security, testing, and operation of information systems. - Business: They understand how modern companies operate, as well as economic principles and marketing. They can precisely analyze business requirements, model processes and architectures, and design technological solutions that directly support business goals. - Personal Development: Is able to communicate effectively and present the results of their work in both Czech and English. Has a foundation in project management, can work in a team, and, thanks to well-developed critical thinking skills, is capable of independent decision-making and rapid adaptation to technological changes.
The Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) is the largest economics-focused university in Czechia and one of the leading business schools in Central and Eastern Europe. You can choose from degree programmes in economics, finance, management, informatics and international relations, taught in Czech and English. During your studies, you build analytical thinking, data skills and the ability to apply theory in real-world contexts. The international AACSB accreditation confirms the quality of education at VŠE.
