The study programme in Econometrics and Operations Research aims to train quantitatively oriented economists with a focus on microeconomic and macroeconomic analysis. The programme aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to work independently in the application of models and methods of operations research and econometrics. Emphasis is placed on acquiring the necessary theoretical foundations as well as working with real data using current software products to support modelling, optimization and data analysis.

After graduation, you will be able to: - use quantitative methods and tools from operations research, decision theory, econometrics and statistics, - work with current software products for econometrics and operations research methods and models, - create complex optimization or econometric models independently and in teams, - apply econometric and operations research models in different areas of economics, - process large data sets and describe the interrelationships between data, - present and implement model results.
