The master's degree programme in Economic Demography is to prepare experts who will have a deep theoretical knowledge not only in the field of economic demography, but also in the field of quantitative methods and economics. They will also be able to translate the acquired theoretical knowledge into practice, especially through analyses of real demographic data and consequences of current and projected future demographic developments in the economic and social spheres. Graduates of the field thus receive a very good education that combines their expertise with useful and necessary knowledge from other relevant disciplines.

Graduates of the programme can - analyse and forecast population development in a given area, - predict consequences of population development of a certain territory in all areas of the national economy, propose necessary measures, combine demographic and economic approach to solving tasks, - use analytical and managerial knowledge and skills both in their own work and when working for or leading a team, - find and use appropriate databases and process large data sets effectively for analytical and forecasting work, - present results in a meaningful and clear manner, - clearly articulate and subsequently defend their views using modern presentation tools, - expand their knowledge in the field and further increase their level of education and qualification.
