The master's degree programme in Information Systems and Technologies is to prepare specialists capable of designing, implementing, operating and managing information systems for various types of economic entities, including public administration institutions. Today's global labour market requires and highly values specialists in the field of information systems and technologies who are also professionally oriented in other economic disciplines (such as business performance management, management accounting, corporate governance and many others). This is achieved in this field of study by including the study of a minor specialisation selected by students from the offer of all faculties of the Prague University of Economics and Business. In addition to the common compulsory foundation, the programme is structured into specialisations in which students direct their professional focus within the programme in more detail and elaborate their theses in these specialisations.

Study

After graduation, you will be able to: - use methods and tools for managing the development and operation of complex information systems, electronic and mobile business support, - set up and optimize information systems and technologies so that they bring the highest possible effects to the enterprise, - analyse and practically implement solutions to real tasks in the field of databases, software engineering, information processing, design of information systems, - develop information strategy, optimize business processes, design and implement analytical applications, design information services, design application and technology architecture of IS, design and implement information applications, - manage IT projects, manage IT services, IT processes and IT resources and analyse benefits of different outsourcing options, - research stakeholder needs and design products and services based on them, - innovatively use and manage the operation and development of enterprise information systems in companies, - solve independent projects both in the Czech Republic and on a global level, present and defend the results in discussions, not only in Czech but also in English.
