The master's degree programme in Taxation and Tax Policy is to prepare economic experts focused on tax issues and tax management. The emphasis is mainly on economic and legal issues and international aspects of taxation and tax planning. Graduates can find employment not only in tax administration bodies, but also in the management of larger companies with separate tax planning agendas, in tax consultancy and in the financial management of companies, in international institutions operating also in the field of taxation and wherever an element of taxation needs to be included in management and economic agendas.

After graduation, you will be able to: - apply theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in national and international taxation, finance and economics to solve taxation problems in business and government, - use knowledge of recent international developments in the areas of income and consumption taxation, tax competition and coordination, and foreign tax systems to analyse advanced tax problems, propose alternative solutions, and defend proposed procedures and results, - explain, using theoretical principles and long-term developments, the principles of taxation in the domestic and European context and apply these explanations and principles to the impact of various external changes on the tax systems in the Czech Republic and the EU.
