basic objectives: To acquaint future teachers of the above-mentioned subjects with the main disciplines that contribute to the constitution of this specific subject that has no direct support in any of the existing scientific disciplines. Students will thus be acquainted with the basics of disciplines such as political science, sociology, economics, religious studies, philosophy, etc., as well as with selected problems and topics that are currently being addressed in these disciplines, and which form an important context or in some cases even a necessary starting framework for understanding the role and function of social sciences in contemporary society. To provide sufficient theoretical as well as value background for such a conception of school subjects civics or fundamentals of social sciences, which will lead primarily to the further development of key civic competences in a modern democratic society.

The graduates of the bachelor study programmeme Civics/Basics of Social Sciences for Education will be experts in social sciences and humanities, they will have theoretical knowledge about social sciences and humanities, they will be able to think creatively and to apply the acquired knowledge into education. The study programmeme's integrity is built on the basics from social sciences such as political science, sociology, religious studies, social anthropology, economics, and psychology plus humanities mainly philosophy, ethics, and history.
