The programme focuses primarily on free artistic creation and an innovative approach to art in public spaces. The Visual Arts – Art in Public Spaces programme primarily provides theoretical knowledge and skills in artistic creation and explores its possibilities and impacts on public spaces. The programme emphasizes the ability to thoroughly explore and analyze the relationships between art, private and public spaces, and all the circumstances of their interaction. It addresses the strategies and functions of art in public space, as well as the conditions for its reception and critique. It encompasses knowledge of the social, cultural, and artistic infrastructure of community and social environments. The programme supports creative and innovative thinking in the creation, reception, and critique of artistic work in public space and prioritizes a multidisciplinary approach to creative practice with the active use of all available media. Creation in Public Space focuses on mapping the intersection of artistic disciplines represented at the Faculty of Arts and Architecture of the Technical University of Liberec (art, architecture, urbanism) through the design and implementation of independent artistic concepts and projects in the realms of art, society, and media. It is directly linked to educational practice and participation focused on cultivating a social, spiritual, and physical space that is shared and provides inspiration to its surroundings. Study

The programme is designed to produce graduates who are not only practically and artistically skilled individuals capable of competently utilizing new technologies and responding to standard commissions in the field of art, but also individuals capable of meeting the requirements of commissions related to public space. Graduates are active, creative agents who shape the informational landscape of public space. Graduates should be fully independent, talented creators who find employment primarily in the fields of fine arts, with an overlap into general and specific issues concerning space itself. The programme is suited for those with skills in visual practice, performance, video, sound and creative arts, architecture, fashion, and curatorial and cultural fields who aspire to develop their skills within their existing careers or engage in artistic practice in public and social spaces. The Master of Arts (Art in Public Space) fosters dialogue between society and public space. The programme provides an opportunity for deep reflection on how and why to engage within the artistic and broader social communities.
