University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice - Faculty of Agriculture and Technology
The study programme is primarily designed for international students and is taught in English. It focuses on agricultural production and landscape management while developing students’ skills in working with academic literature and solving practical problems. The Multifunctional Agriculture programme also offers Erasmus+ students a comprehensive semester-based study option, allowing them to select one or more semesters according to their home university specialization. The programme is divided into four interconnected semesters. The first semester establishes a common foundation in biological aspects of agriculture for students from diverse backgrounds. The second focuses on conventional farming, including cultivation, breeding, and agricultural biotechnologies. The third covers organic farming, sustainable management systems, bioproduction processing, social agriculture, and agrotourism. The fourth addresses landscape planning, regional development, and soil erosion protection.
The entrance fee is 500 EUR. If applicants do not succeed in obtaining a visa in time, the university will refund 460 EUR of the entrance fee.
The graduate has broad knowledge of agricultural production, organic and conventional farming, and landscape management. They understand sustainable development, soil protection, and regional planning. They are able to work with academic sources, analyze problems, and propose effective solutions. You can work in agricultural practice, advisory services, public administration, and rural development.
