The follow-up master’s degree programme in Agricultural Engineering and Technology provides students with higher education particularly in the areas of crop and animal production technologies, transport and handling equipment in agriculture, applied electronics and automation in agricultural practice, and design in agricultural engineering. You acquire a solid and comprehensive theoretical background as well as practical skills, which they are able to apply independently and creatively when solving specific problems arising from real-world practice. During their studies, students also develop skills closely related to actual operational conditions. Throughout the programme, students actively interact with representatives of agricultural enterprises, manufacturers and suppliers of agricultural machinery, professionals from development departments, and representatives of public administration, for example through specialised seminars led by industry experts or through practical training and internships in companies. In cooperation with a selected company, students usually prepare their final thesis.
For follow-up Master’s programmes, provide proof of proper completion of a Bachelor’s programme. If you are in the final year of your Bachelor’s programme, submit an officially certified copy of your diploma as a PDF from authorised conversion – Czech POINT no later than the end of June. FZT USB Bachelor’s graduates do not submit proof of completed higher education. FZT USB graduates whose chosen follow-up Master’s programme directly builds on their completed Bachelor’s programme are admitted without an entrance examination. Other applicants take an entrance examination unless the Dean of FZT USB decides otherwise. Entrance examinations for follow-up Master’s programmes are written.
Graduates of the follow-up master’s degree programme in Agricultural Engineering and Technology possess advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in crop and animal production technologies, transport and handling equipment, applied electronics and automation in agriculture, and the design of agricultural machinery. They are able to solve complex technical problems independently and creatively and to apply modern methods in professional practice. They are familiar with current trends in automation, digitalisation, and technological development in agriculture. Thanks to the strong connection between studies and practice, they gain experience with real agricultural operations and collaboration with industry professionals. Graduates are capable of working independently as well as in teams and are well prepared for expert and managerial positions in agricultural enterprises, manufacturing and supply companies, research and development, or public administration, and they may continue their studies in doctoral programmes.
