The three-year academically oriented bachelor’s degree programme in Agricultural Engineering and Technology prepares graduates who possess a solid and broad theoretical foundation as well as practical skills in the field of agricultural machinery and related technologies. Upon successful completion of the programme, graduates may enter the labour market directly or continue their studies in the follow-up master’s degree programme in Agricultural Engineering and Technology, which is accredited at the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology of the University of South Bohemia. The composition of courses is designed to ensure that You acquire knowledge and skills reflecting current trends in the rapid integration of electronics and automation into agricultural operations in line with the Industry 4.0 concept. These include, for example, partially or fully automated systems for farm management, milking robots, and automated guidance systems for agricultural machinery used in field operations. Graduates develop skills closely linked to real-world practice, and during their studies they regularly interact with representatives of agricultural enterprises as well as manufacturers and suppliers of agricultural machinery, for instance through professional seminars led by industry experts or through internships and practical training in companies. In cooperation with a company, students typically also complete their final thesis.

Submit the electronic application by the deadline and provide the required documents. Upload officially verified annual secondary school reports to the portal as PDFs from authorised conversion – Czech POINT; for the final year, upload the mid-year report if you have not yet completed studies. You may also submit a cumulative record electronically signed by the headmaster. If you have passed the maturita, upload an officially verified copy of the maturita certificate as a PDF from authorised conversion – Czech POINT. Applicants who have completed secondary education submit it with the application; final-year students no later than the end of June. Ranking is based on secondary school results and admission continues up to the set quota. There is no entrance exam for Bc. study programmes.

Study

Graduates of the bachelor’s degree programme in Agricultural Engineering and Technology possess a strong theoretical background and practical skills in agricultural machinery, technologies, and modern systems for managing agricultural production. They are familiar with the principles of automation and digitalisation of agricultural operations in accordance with the Industry 4.0 concept, including the use of automated control systems, milking robots, and navigation systems for agricultural machinery. They are able to analyse technical problems, propose appropriate solutions, and effectively apply modern technologies in practice. Thanks to their professional training, they have experience with real agricultural operations and collaborate with industry professionals. Graduates are capable of working independently and as part of a team and are prepared for employment in technical and technological positions in agricultural enterprises, service organisations, or in the sale of agricultural machinery, or they may continue their studies in a follow-up master’s degree programme.
