This study programme prepares you to prepare highly qualified specialists in accordance with current scientific knowledge, with an emphasis on the economic efficiency of farming. The programme focuses on deepening comprehensive theoretical knowledge, advanced professional expertise, and practical skills in livestock breeding. Graduates are qualified to apply the latest trends in animal production in practice, to engage in agricultural research and education, to work as specialists in breeding associations and organisations, and as breeders, as well as experts in service, advisory, purchasing, and supply organisations related to animal production. They are also prepared to work in administrative bodies of public administration.

For follow-up Master’s programmes, provide proof of proper completion of a Bachelor’s programme. If you are in the final year of your Bachelor’s programme, submit an officially certified copy of your diploma as a PDF from authorised conversion – Czech POINT no later than the end of June. FZT USB Bachelor’s graduates do not submit proof of completed higher education. FZT USB graduates whose chosen follow-up Master’s programme directly builds on their completed Bachelor’s programme are admitted without an entrance examination. Other applicants take an entrance examination unless the Dean of FZT USB decides otherwise. Entrance examinations for follow-up Master’s programmes are written.

Study

Graduates of the follow-up master’s degree programme possess advanced theoretical and practical knowledge in livestock production and related disciplines. They are familiar with current scientific knowledge and the latest trends in animal production and are able to apply them effectively with regard to the economic efficiency of farming. They can analyse breeding practices, propose innovative solutions, and manage technological processes in animal production. Graduates find employment in research, education, breeding associations and organisations, as well as in service, advisory, supply, and purchasing companies related to animal production. They are also prepared to work in public administration and hold specialist or managerial positions, and they may continue their studies in doctoral programmes.
