Students of this study programme become familiar with principles of nomenclature related to inorganic and organic substances. They understand the periodic table of the elements and can interpret the laws resulting from its arrangement. You learn how to specify the properties of substances, describe chemical processes and carry out chemical analyses.

During your studies, you gain in-depth knowledge of all areas of chemistry, such as general theory, inorganic, organic, analytical, and physical chemistry and biochemistry. As a part of study, you learn how to apply the required skills and knowledge in a chemistry laboratory. Moreover, students focus on educational and psychological topics. After graduation, students have the possibility of continuing their studies in the Master’s degree programme Teacher Training in Chemistry for Elementary or Secondary School. However, they can choose other study programmes focused on chemistry. Moreover, they can find employment in chemistry laboratories or in companies and organizations focused on environmental protection.
