The aim of this study programme is to educate teachers of the German language. During your studies, you gain in-depth knowledge of the language standard, and development of the German language, understand the methodology of literary history, and master orthoepy and orthography. They understand the main trends in contemporary language and literary development.

During your studies, you gain insight into linguistics, literature and practical language. Moreover, they focus on acquiring skills necessary for their future teaching practice. Students participate in educational excursions. After graduation, you can continue your studies in the Master’s degree programme Teacher Training in the German Language for Elementary or Secondary School. Moreover, they can work in libraries, government or administrative bodies, or in German and Austrian companies.
