The two-year follow-up master's’s study programme is intended for those who wish to deepen their knowledge in mechanical engineering technology and the machining process itself. The study consists of subject blocks focused on modern and efficient methods of machining and manufacturing structural parts, such as complete, progressive, HSC and multi-axis machining, non-conventional machining methods, etc., supported by computing technology (NC programming), as well as on their assembly, production planning and quality control – metrology. Graduates will also gain orientation in additive technologies and integrated machining systems.

You will acquire modern and efficient methods of machining structural materials using current computing technology. In addition to the machining process itself, you will explore laser technologies, additive technologies (rapid prototyping and manufacturing), production process design in connection with automation and NC machine programming. You will be prepared to solve technological projects, become more familiar with robotics and material handling possibilities. You will be able to design assembly workplaces or lines. You will deepen your knowledge of material structure, quality management and assurance. You will also gain knowledge in economics and management necessary for establishing and operating smaller mechanical engineering companies. You may work in many positions in the field of mechanical engineering technologies, whether directly in the production sphere as technologists, production managers, maintenance managers, NC machine programmers, supply specialists, investment technicians and project designers, or in quality management or research. You may also work as secondary school teachers.
